Insurance Education Day

The first "Insurance Education Day" was held on October 22, 1981, and there were 306 people in attendance. "Insurance Education Day" is an annual event that has been held every year since 1981.

The Mississippi Council of Insurance Education changed its name in 1985 to "Mississippi Insurance Education Foundation" to better reflect the purpose of the organization, and the decision to use "Insurance Education Day" as an outlet for awarding scholarships was added in recent years.
